Sadly it looks like the Texas Rangers Winter Caravan is no more. No visit to Wichita Falls in 2026.

Typically around this time of the year, Rangers fans were getting excited to see some of their favorite players at the annual Winter Caravan. A way for fans outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area to meet some Rangers coaches and players. Fans at the start of 2024, got to see the World Series trophy in Wichita Falls after the 2023 season. Sadly it looks like the Winter Caravan is retired and the Rangers will only stay within Dallas/Fort Worth now.

The Rangers announced five dates for the new format, but with no locations. The Texas Rangers website has all that information now and it looks like the Rangers are staying home. With the exception of a stop in Round Rock, all of the dates are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

A post on Reddit has fans complaining about the new format.

the original point of the caravan was to go to cities outside of DFW so that non-Metroplex residents could see some players. really sucks to see it become this.

and 99% of people who go to FanFest won’t get autographs anyway. –beefytrout

I agree with beefytrout here. The Rangers have events in DFW all the time since they play there. Seems like a cost cutting thing, but another Rangers fan had another suggestion.

My conspiracy theory is that Fanatics wants these autograph heavy events to go away since they are trying to sell cards that come autographed.-hondajvx

^That conspiracy doesn’t sound too crazy. Looks like it is R.I.P. to the Texas Rangers Winter Caravan.
