AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Department detectives are seeking assistance from the public to identify a person of interest in a hit-and-run collision involving a juvenile skateboarder and a dark gray sedan. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the intersection of Panadero Drive and Baythorne Drive.
The sedan, which fled northbound on Panadero Drive, did not stop to provide aid to the injured juvenile, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department. The person of interest is described as a Hispanic or Asian male, aged 50 to 60, heavyset, and last seen wearing a University of Texas “Hook’em Horns” t-shirt, jean shorts, and tennis shoes.
The vehicle involved is described as a dark gray, four-door sedan. Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to an arrest, stated the source.
