A former worker at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, who doxxed ICE agents, has now launched a GoFundMe.
The worker, who identified herself as “Gia,” posted a viral TikTok video on January 7, warning that ICE agents were staying at the Anatole. A hotel spokeswoman told The Dallas Express she worked for a third-party parking company, which fired her.
Gia confirmed the termination in a separate TikTok post. Now, Gia has launched a GoFundMe.
“After a lot of time and a lot of encouragement from the community, I did decide to make a GoFundMe just for the time being. I’m sure that I will be able to find a job in the next month, after my video has gotten so much exposure,” Gia said via TikTok.
From the sidewalk near the valet stand, Gia also recorded videos of unmarked ICE vehicles in the Anatole parking lot and posted them online around the same time as her viral video.
“ICE IN UNMARKED VEHICLES Dallas tx,” she posted with the soundtrack I Hate U B***h by Z-Ro playing.
In the most recent video, Gia thanked supporters for the donations and encouragement.
One user replied to the initial video, offering to hire her at a Plano business.
“My team is a diverse, multicultural and minority owned company,” the user wrote. “She is exactly the type of person wed [sic] want on our team.”
The hotel is just four miles down the road from the ICE-Dallas facility, where a sniper attacked agents in September – killing two detainees and wounding another, as The Dallas Express reported at the time.
Hilton recently cut ties with a Minneapolis-area franchise after hotel staff refused to serve ICE agents or Department of Homeland Security employees, as The Dallas Express also reported. Also in Minnesota, a worker leaked names, emails, and images of ICE agents staying at a hotel.
