On Sunday afternoon, the Cam Coleman drama ended, as the the top ranked transfer wide receiver and overall player committed to the Texas Longhorns after visiting Alabama on Friday, as quarterback Arch Manning has secured his No. 1 receiver ahead of his final season in Austin, while the Aggies have already moved on, securing their own lead transfer wideout.

After visiting Texas A&M this weekend, Alabama transfer wide receiver Isaiah Horton became the primary target for head coach Mike Elko and his staff, knowing that, if Coleman chose the Longhorns, landing the junior pass catcher was an absolute must, filling out the X receiver role to take pressure off Mario Craver and Ashton Bethel-Roman to roam free in coverage.

Horton, who stands at 6’4″ and over 200 pounds, logged 601 snaps during his first and final season with the Crimson Tide, becoming a favorite target for quarterback Ty Simpson, reeling in 42 receptions for 511 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging over 12 yards per catch.

With starting quarterback Marcel Reed returning for what could be his final season, this will be the most complete receiver corps he’ll work with, despite losing star KC Concepcion to the 2026 NFL Draft. Horton’s ability in the red zone is highly notable, filling a hole that has kept the Aggie offense behind the 8-ball. Horton’s commitment should be the final piece to the puzzle at wide receiver.
