Fort Worth Police Department officers were dispatched to Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood at around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a man shot in the neck.
FORT WORTH, Texas — Fort Worth police are investigating a Sunday evening shooting at a local chicken restaurant, officials said.
The Fort Worth Police Department said its officers were dispatched to Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood, located at 6440 North Freeway, at around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday following reports of a man being shot in the neck.
Hours later, police tape blocked off the scene, but details about what happened remained murky.
Surveillance footage reviewed by WFAA from a nearby business showed multiple cars in line to pick up food at Lisa’s Chicken & Seafood when someone could be seen exiting their vehicle and approaching another car before walking back to the initial vehicle, while seemingly injured, and eventually sitting on the ground outside of the store.
Police have not confirmed whether the video viewed by WFAA showed the same shooting that officers were investigating.
“I was just a bit concerned about what exactly happened — if it was inside their store, if it was outside the store, if it was just an altercation between two people, or if it was just random,” an employee from a nearby business told WFAA as police continued to investigate the scene. “I just wasn’t sure.”
