LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – 3 people are dead and 2 others were injured in a shooting late Sunday night in Slaton.
The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a call to assist the Slaton Police Department just before 11 p.m.
According to LSO, Slaton PD received a call for multiple gunshot victims near the 300 block of East Floyd Street (South 7th Street and East Floyd Street).
When officers arrived, they found three people with fatal gunshot wounds.
Officers also located two more people injured, each with gunshot wounds.
Officials say both were transported to a local hospital by EMS and have since been stabilized.
At this time, there is no ongoing threat to the public.
LSO says through the initial investigation, officials believe one of the deceased individuals was the shooter.
This investigation has been turned over to the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit.
Names of those involved were not released.
