LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The City of Lubbock says it is now accepting applications for Lubbock 101 Citizens Academy for the Class of 2026.
The citizens academy designed for residents to learn more about their city, its operations and all the services it provides.
The city says the program consists of eight classroom sessions, tours of several City of Lubbock departments and field days to the City’s Fleet Services, Water Treatment and Distribution operations plant, and the Airport Fire Station.
Lubbock 101 will start on Thursday, April 2, 2026, and end with a graduation and recognition ceremony during the Lubbock City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
An application is required for enrollment.
Enrollment is also limited.
The application deadline is March 2, 2026.
