A man was hospitalized Monday morning after being shot by his 15-year-old son in their home, Plano police said in a statement.
Officers received a 911 call from the victim around 8:25 a.m. saying he had been shot by his son.
Police arrived in the 4500 block of Sandy Water Lane, secured the location and detained the son.
The man, who was not identified, was transported to the hospital by Plano Fire-Rescue, where his condition remains unknown, according to the statement.

Officials said there is no danger to the public and that information on the incident is extremely limited since police are in the early stages of their investigation.
It was not immediately clear if charges would be filed against the teen. Police did not say what led to the gunfire.
