LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE FROM BUDDY HOLLY HALL) – Buddy Holly Hall announced today that Michael V. Hutchison has been named Chief Advancement Officer, a senior leadership role overseeing fundraising, donor engagement, and long-term advancement strategy.
Hutchison brings more than 27 years of advancement and executive leadership experience, including 15 years at the executive level, across higher education and nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Advancement at McMurry University, where he led the institution’s most successful fundraising years and oversaw fundraising, alumni engagement, donor relations, advancement services, and events.
“Michael is a strategic advancement leader with a proven record of results,” said Jeff Hunsinger, CEO of Buddy Holly Hall. “His experience building sustainable programs and securing transformational support will be critical to the Hall’s continued growth and impact.”
Throughout his career, Hutchison has led comprehensive capital campaigns, major gifts programs, expanded board and volunteer engagement, and built high-performing advancement teams. His prior leadership roles include senior advancement positions at Arkansas Tech University, Millsaps College, Hendrix College, and Austin College, as well as serving as the founding President of the Friendship Foundation, where he established the organization’s fundraising and governance infrastructure.
