EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will be in El Paso for a campaign event on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Abbott will speak alongside the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association, the National Border Patrol Council and the Texas Game Warden Association.
Abbott, a Republican, is seeking a fourth term. If he wins re-election and successfully finishes a fourth term in office, he would be the longest serving governor in Texas history, surpassing his predecessor, Rick Perry, who served 14 years.
Abbott will be joined for remarks by Sgt. Victor Vela, of the El Paso Municipal Police Officers’ Association, National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez, Texas Border Sheriff`s Coalition Executive Director Clint McDonald and several county sheriffs.
