Texans Playoffs Specials

All Christian’s Tailgate locations will be locked in on the Texans playoff games, with the sound up and the TVs front and center. Grab a $20 bucket of domestics, then settle in for Monday’s $20 Steak Night starting at 5 p.m. featuring a 12-ounce ribeye with two sides.

Jethro’s Cocktail Lounge, 95 Tuam, will be playing the Texans playoff games on with sound on its new indoor projection screen. Folks can dig into game day specials including all day happy hour and the $7 smashburger and fries combo.

Local Bar, 10615 Fry, 24033 Cinco Ranch, is rocking all-day happy hour, with $4.50 craft drafts, $18 domestic beer buckets, $5 wells, $6 house wines, $7 frozens, $10 pizzas and $2 off bar bites all day long.

Wild Game Burger Fridays at Rainbow Lodge

Continuing its Wild Game Burger Fridays lunch special, Rainbow Lodge invites folks to dig into a bison, elk and ribeye burger topped with crispy onion strings and bbq sauce, served with pickles and housemade chips for $17 starting at 11 a.m.

Barrel-Aged Evening at Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Saint A’s annual Barrel-Aged Evening invites guests to taste a curated lineup of barrel-aged beers straight from the cellar. Other highlights include open pours from its regular beer lineup, hearty appetizers, a Barrel Room tour and take home a souvenir taster glass and 12-ounce bottle of barrel-aged Pumpkinator. Tickets are $80 all-inclusive. The event runs 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Beer Hall.

Bordeaux Deconstructed Tasting at Vic & Anthony’s

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, 1510 Texas, invites guests to sample and explore 15 sommelier‑curated wines used in Bordeaux and beyond at this walk‑around tasting with plated and passed appetizers. Tickets run $95 per person plus tax, and the event begins at 6 p.m.

Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest

Folks can sample award-winning chili from more than 50 cook teams, sip craft beer and spirits, and catch live music during the 17th annual Yaga’s Chili Quest & Beer Fest in Galveston’s Historic Strand District. The all-day event also includes the Beerfoot 5K run, a cornhole tournament, a jackpot margarita contest and a Strand merchant walk-about. The festival takes place at 23rd and Strand; ticket options include Chili Tasting Tickets ($16+),  General Admission Beers & Cheers (24 two-ounce beer samples and four spirit samples, $43+), VIP and more.

Puerto Rican Festival: 2nd Edition of Festival del Lechón

Folks can head to Pearland Town Center, 11200 Broadway, for a day of Puerto Rican food, culture and music at the 2nd Edition of the Festival del Lechón, featuring slow‑roasted lechón asado, live DJs and performances, food vendors and a VIP experience with meal and drink included. The fun runs from noon to 10 p.m. and tickets start at $10; VIP options also available.

Throughout January, restaurants across Rice Village are participating in Dine Out Rice Village, offering special prix‑fixe menus or featured items with a portion of proceeds benefiting Southern Smoke Foundation’s work supporting food & beverage workers in crisis through emergency relief and no‑cost mental health care. Participating spots include D’Amico’s, Hamsa, Hudson House, Mendocino Farms, Milton’s and Navy Blue, each showcasing unique offerings for the month. 

The January Reset with Berg Hospitality Group

Berg Hospitality Group is rolling out The January Reset, a monthlong dining program focused on balance, wellness and flavor across its portfolio of restaurants. Each concept is offering its own three-course prix-fixe menu built around seasonal ingredients, lean proteins and lighter preparations, with menus spanning everything from grilled branzino and salmon to whole-wheat pastas and prime filets, plus lighter desserts to finish. Participating restaurants include Annabelle Brasserie, B&B Butchers, B.B. Italia, Prime 131, The Annie Café & Bar, Trattoria Sofia and Turner’s.

King Cake at Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition

Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition, 318 Gray, celebrates Mardi Gras with a King Cake. available to-go or for dine-in. The in-house crafted King Cake ($28) feeds four people, with each cake containing the traditional hidden baby and featuring strawberry jam and cream cheese filling.
