The 2025 State Fair of Texas welcomed an estimated two million people in its 24-day run. That’s about 385,000 visitors less than last year, according to the numbers released by fair leaders when the fair ended.

Since the beginning of this year’s state fair, there have been videos circulating on social media as fairgoers said they noticed the crowds seemed lighter.

The busiest day of this year’s State Fair of Texas was Saturday, October 11 during the Red River Rivalry game featuring the University of Texas and Oklahoma.

The State Fair of Texas is a registered 501( c) (3) nonprofit organization that reports it gives back year-round, with proceeds from the annual event being reinvested into scholarships, community initiatives, and more.
