Police units respond on scene.
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Three people are now in the hospital after they were shot while driving on Highway 90 early Wednesday morning.
Shots rang out around 2:10 a.m. and officers with the San Antonio Police Department would soon find three men with gunshot wounds throughout their body. Officers located the victims in the 800 block of Cupples Road.
Investigators say the victims were riding in a car on the highway when a dark-colored vehicle hit them from behind. This happened more than once, and eventually both vehicles pulled over.
KSAT 12 reports someone in the dark-colored vehicle started shooting before speeding off afterward. Beyond the color of the car, police have little information about the car or the suspects.
The victims were able to call for help, and all three made it to the hospital. Their current status is unknown.
