LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Today, Christy Martinez-Garcia announced her candidacy for re-election to represent District 1 for the Lubbock City Council.
Martinez-Garcia has served on the council since 2022 and quickly was named Mayor Pro Tem after two years.
She said she believes in serving others and prioritizes representing the Arnett Benson, District 1, where she grew up.
According to a news release, Martinez-Garcia is currently the only council member with perfect attendance in all meetings.
