EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man wanted in connection with a murder in Fabens from 2025 was extradited on Tuesday after he was arrested in Colorado.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Angel Lozano was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail after he had been arrested in Greeley, Colorado, by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Aaron Villa, who was shot and killed on March 20, 2025, on the 100 block of Mezcla Street in Fabens.

Jail records show he was booked under a $100,000 bond.

According to authorities, Villa’s was found in the area after deputies received a call regarding a “shots fired/aggravated assault” incident.

Villa appeared to be suffering from multiple gunshots.

Life-saving measures were done and Villa was rushed to the hospital; however, he died from his injuries.

After an investigation done by EPCSO’s Major Crimes Unit and the Texas Rangers, Lozano was identified as the prime suspect.

Lozano was arrested on Aug. 11, 2025.
