1 seriously injured in collision on 34th, east of University

LPD releases new details on Wednesday night crash on 34th, east of University

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Police were called to the scene on 34th Street, east of University on Wednesday night, where one person was seriously injured in a collision.

The call came in around 8 p.m.

LPD says when officers arrived, they found 73-year-old David Harris.

According to LPD, it appears Harris, who was the driver of the car, was going east in the westbound lanes of 34th St. when his vehicle hit a light pole in the northeast corner of the intersection of 34th St. and Boston Avenue.

Harris was taken to UMC with serious injuries.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
