LUBBOCK, TX (COVENANT HEALTH NEWS RELEASE) – Like many other hospitals this time of year, we are experiencing longer-than-usual wait times at our Covenant Medical Center Emergency Department. Our team is working hard to care for every patient as quickly and safely as possible.
Please remember, the ER is for serious or life-threatening conditions such as chest pain, breathing difficulties, stroke symptoms, severe injuries, or heavy bleeding.
For non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries, our urgent care centers can often provide care faster than typical ER wait times.
Our urgent cares treat conditions that don’t require an ER visit, including:
