TxDOT’s Public Transportation Division is currently on a fall outreach campaign for the Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan (SMTP) and providing the public opportunities to provide feedback at 7 public meetings across the state, as well as an online survey here.
The first public meeting is this Wednesday, 10/22 in McAllen from 5:30-7:30, at the Palm View Community Center.
The meeting is designed for transit riders, agencies, advocates, and other stakeholders in our region.
Through stakeholder and public outreach efforts, Texas SMTP 2050 identifies needs, gaps, challenges, strategies, and initial steps for implementation that increase mobility and connectivity options for all Texans, support economic development and address congestion in regional and intercity corridors through 2050.
