Head-on crash on Northeast Side leaves one dead, two hospitalized with serious injuries

SAN ANTONIO — One person was killed and two others were seriously injured in a head on crash on the Northeast Side on Friday.

The crash happened just after 8 p.m. in the 6400 block of Walzem Road near Windsor Oaks.

Police say a white 2015 Hyundai Elantra and a red 2014 Toyota Camry were traveling in opposite directions when they collided.

The Hyundai driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital with major injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
