HOUSTON – One person has died after a suspected drive-by shooting in the East Houston area, according to police.

What we know:
Police say a 911 call came in shortly after 11:30 a.m.Â
The caller said a person was shot in a vehicle, and the vehicle crashed on Wayside Drive near Tidwell Road.
Two people were said to have been in the vehicle. One of them has been pronounced deceased.
It’s believed the shooter drove off in a truck.
