Rookie Cooper Flagg injured his left ankle during Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.Flagg was subsequently ruled out of the Mavericks’ Thursday matchup with the Utah Jazz.He is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s rematch against the Jazz in Dallas.

On Wednesday, Cooper Flagg departed the Dallas Mavericks matchup against the Denver Nuggets in the second quarter after tweaking his left ankle. While he would return to the bench, the rookie superstar did not play another minute in the loss.

It was the same story on Thursday as Flagg was ruled out of the Mavericks’ game against the Utah Jazz. With the Jazz coming to American Airlines Center on Saturday night, Jason Kidd was hoping to get his star back. That’s not looking good for the Mavericks.

On the Mavericks’ injury report that was released early Saturday, Flagg is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s battle between Dallas and Utah. That’s a huge piece missing for Kidd’s squad, as the former Duke star has put up 18.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game in 42 games thus far this season.
