LUBBOCK, Texas — ESPN announced that College GameDay will be making this season’s basketball debut in Lubbock ahead of a showdown between Texas Tech and Houston on Jan. 24.

The trip marks the first to United Supermarkets Arena in eight years and the second overall visit. In addition, it’s the second time this year that ESPN is on-site in Lubbock, as the football version of College GameDay made its return for the regular season clash between Texas Tech and BYU.


Lady Raiders suffer first loss to Kansas State

While the Red Raiders and Cougars won’t face off until 5:30 p.m., the pregame show will take place from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. Students are encouraged to fill the USA, with free admission to the show and no need to purchase a ticket for the actual game. Doors will open at 9 a.m.
