A 24-year-old has been arrested after a man was killed Friday during a daytime drive-by shooting in Fort Worth, police said.

Fort Worth police were called to a reported shooting in the 2000 block of Watauga Road at about 3:49 p.m. Friday, police said in a news release.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, police said. The man was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Police said investigators determined the man was walking on the road when an unknown person pulled past them and fired multiple rounds. The suspect then fled the scene in a dark colored vehicle, police said.

Detectives identified the suspect, and Fort Worth SWAT arrested 24-year-old Saul Bosquez in connection with the shooting, according to jail records. He is being held at the Tarrant County jail and faces a murder charge.

Detectives believe the shooting was an isolated incident, police said. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim as well as determine the cause and manner of death, police said.
