A man was hospitalized after an officer-involved shooting Saturday evening in West Dallas, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Police said officers responded around 5:15 p.m. to a report of a man firing a gun in the 1200 block of Presidio Avenue. When officers arrived, they observed a suspect standing in the street armed with at least one firearm.
According to police, officers confronted the man and issued loud verbal commands directing him to drop the weapon. The suspect did not comply, and officers fired, striking him at least once.

Officers immediately began rendering medical aid until Dallas Fire-Rescue arrived and transported the man to a hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
No officers were injured during the incident.
Police said the investigation remains active. The case is being documented under number 008318-2026, and additional information is expected to be released in the coming days.
