EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) – Loop 375 Widening Project Traffic Advisory
The Loop 375 Widening Project is causing major traffic due to crews working and striping the roadway.
Saturday, January 17
From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Loop 375 southbound main lanes will be closed between Pelicano Drive and the North Loop Exit Ramp.
Sunday, January 18 to Monday, January 19
A continuous 22-hour closure of the Loop 375 southbound main lanes will be in effect from 7 a.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday between the North Loop Exit Ramp and the Padres Exit Ramp. Crews are working on final striping placement.
Saturday, January 17 to Sunday, January 18
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be alternating left and right lane closures on the Loop 375 southbound main lanes between Bob Hope Drive and the Padres Exit Ramp. Crews are working on final striping placement.
Monday, January 19 to Friday, January 23
Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be alternating north- and southbound lane closures on the Loop 375 main lanes between North Loop Drive and Zaragoza Road (Port of Entry). Alternating south- and northbound lane closures will also occur on Americas Avenue (frontage road) between North Loop Drive and Zaragoza Road. Crews are working on installing miscellaneous items and clean-up.
Monday, January 19 to Thursday, January 22
Nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., the Loop 375 southbound main lanes will be closed between the North Loop Exit Ramp and the Padres Exit Ramp. Crews are working on ride quality operations.
Upcoming Openings
The Thorn bridge is expected to open the afternoon of Friday, January 23.
The eastbound Mesa exit is expected to open the morning of Sunday, January 25. A 24-hour closure is planned to complete this work. The final configuration will feature three continuous lanes from Redd Road to Mesa Street. Remaining work includes barrier removal, riprap placement, metal beam guard fence, and striping. The new exit will open 1.25 miles sooner than the previous one.
