EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Nominations are now open for First Responder of the Year by the Greater El Paso Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW).
The nominations can be made for both individuals and organizations in U.S. law enforcement, criminal justice, first responders and other public safety community organizations, according to the news release by MOWW.
To send in your nomination, you can email at gep.moww@gmail.com, along with the filled-out form. The last day to put in your nominations is March 6.

According to MOWW, you can submit multiple nominations, but they need to be filed out on separate forms.
Categories to choose from are:
Best Law Enforcement Officer of the Year
Best Law Enforcement Unit of the Year
Best Fire Officer of the Year
Best EMS/Medical Responder of the Year
Awardees and nominators will be invited to the Chapter and Luncheon meeting, beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4. As of reporting, the location is pending.
Individuals selected for local recognition will be forwarded for consideration for national recognition at the MOWW National Convention, held in August in San Antonio.
