SAN ANTONIO — A woman who was tragically killed after she was hit by a car while crossing a major roadway on Friday night has been identified.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 36-year-old Stacy Rodriguez on Sunday. Her manner of death was ruled an accident.

Around 9:20 p.m. on Friday, police were called to the scene of a major collision involving a pedestrian near the corner of Bandera Road and Loop 1604.
According to officers on scene, Rodriguez, may have been involved in an argument with another person, and in an attempt to diffuse the situation, attempted to cross Bandera going towards a restaurant.
While crossing Bandera, a white sedan struck her, leaving her with severe injuries. She was transported to the hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the police. No charges are expected to be filed in this case.
