HALTOM CITY – Glenda Sue Hughes passed away on January 13, 2026. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Mount Olivet Chapel in the Breyley Suite. Glenda was born on November 10, 1949, to Willis and Verda Turner in Fort Worth. She graduated from Amon Carter High School in 1969. She retired after working for the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department for 19 years. Glenda was very talented at doing all kinds of crafts, with crocheting being her favorite. Glenda was preceded in death by her ex-husband, John Hughes; her parents; and her sister, Patsy Manning. Survivors include her son, Michael Hughes; her daughter, Cynthia Perry, and husband, Jason Perry; sisters, Janice Hallmark, Henrietta Turner; granddaughters, Jessica, Amber, Caitlin, Megan, and Tera Perry; grandsons, Nathan, Jacob, and Lucas Perry; nephews, Stephen Hallmark and his wife, Sarah, and Kenneth Manning; and grandnieces, Madelynn and Avery Hallmark.
