Dozens of altars honoring deceased loved ones will fill Hemisfair during the Día de los Muertos celebration popularly known as Muertos Fest. The festival also features live music on multiple stages, a procession through the park, arts and events for children. Oct. 24-26, 630 Nueva St.
After 10: Spirits of the Night
Once Muertos Fest winds down at Hemisfair, step across the street to Kimpton Santo’s Tenfold Rooftop for a Día de los Muertos-inspired after-party under the stars. Día de los Muertos River Parade Viewing Party
In honor of San Antonio’s annual Day of the Dead River Parade, InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk will offer a spectacular viewing party that includes reserved seating for parade viewing; a buffet featuring a guacamole bar, carnita tacos and churros; specialty cocktails like the Afterlife Espresso Martini and Por mis Muertos; face painting and live entertainment. 5-9 p.m. Oct. 24, 111 E. Celebrate the Day of the Dead River Parade from reserved seating right by Thompson San Antonio. Enjoy the sights of beautifully decorated barges, glowing altars, elegant catrinas and costumed riders as they float along the River Walk, honoring life and loved ones in this spectacular San Antonio tradition. Taking place over two days, this free event will feature cultural activities, traditional altars, face painting, live music and more. Las Monas Cultural Dance Procession, a mesmerizing display of dance and storytelling will take place both days from 1 to 2 p.m. Witness the dancers as they bring to life the spirit of the ancestors with colorful costumes and rhythmic movements. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Oct. 25-26, Historic Market Square, 514 W. Día de los Muertos: Celebrando las Misiones
The City of San Antonio World Heritage Office and its partners will celebrate the Day of the Dead with the eight annual Día de los Muertos: Celebrando las Misiones. This free event, which honors the legacy of the descendants of San Antonio’s historic Missions, will include a procession and dance at Mission Marquee Plaza. 3-10 p.m. Nov. 1, 3100 Roosevelt Ave.

Día de los Muertos Procession
Celebrate our ancestors with San Anto Cultural Arts at this annual free event featuring music, a community altar, free refreshments and annual procession.
