Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in the 1100 block of E 10th St just before 3 a.m. Monday.

DALLAS — Two people were injured in an early morning house fire near downtown Dallas, officials say. 

Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a house fire just before 3 a.m. Monday. Jan. 19 in the 1100 block of E 10th St. 

Crews arrived to find heavy fire conditions at a one-story residence. Two individuals were outside the house when firefighters arrived. Both individuals were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries, officials say. 

Firefighters fought the fire defensively for over an hour before getting it under control. 

Crews on scene said the house next door sustained exposure damage, charring the paint on the side of the house. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.Â
