Thousands took to the streets on the East Side of San Antonio for the annual MLK Day March, widely considered to be the largest in the nation.

The three mile route for San Antonio’s 39th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March began at 10 a.m. Monday at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Academy and wound its way through the area.

At the march, people held signs not just relating to the late civil rights icon but today’s crackdown on immigrant families by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as well as signs protesting the Trump administration more broadly.
