SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio came together in an incredible show of unity Monday as hundreds of thousands participated in the nation’s largest Martin Luther King Jr. march.

The 39th annual march began at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy and stretched just under three miles, ending at Pittman-Sullivan Park. Along the route, the crowd reflected the city’s spirit of community, love, and respect.

This celebration is a way for San Antonio to come together and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

And in this 39th year, three-time Olympic gold medalist and U.S. gymnast Gabby Douglas was the keynote speaker, while Grammy Award-winning singer and actress Coco Jones headlines the post-march festivities.
