LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – While the Texas Tech Red Raiders are obviously disappointed from their first loss of the season against Arizona State on Saturday, the game was still a major victory for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Southwest- especially with four sacks.

1Q, 8:35 & 7:49, OLB David Bailey, who already entered the game as the nation’s sack leader, registered back-to-back sacks on QB Sam Leavitt. The first caused a loss of four yards to the ASU 45, the latter set the Sun Devils back 8 yards on the ASU 373Q, 11:15, OLB Romello Height and DL Anthony Holmes, Jr. combined for a sack, which resulted in an eight-yard loss at the TTU 164Q, 3:00, DL Lee Hunter made a third-down sack, an eight-yard loss marked at the ASU 19

The Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock provides families with a home away from home when they have a child receiving medical care. Families who stay at the House may have a newborn staying in the NICU, a child receiving cancer treatments, or needing any other medical care. Families within our local children’s hospitals, Covenant Children’s and UMC Children’s, are also able to take a break and grab a snack at our Ronald McDonald Family Rooms inside the hospitals. These rooms offer respite and comfort as well as access to basic necessities like showers, laundry, coffee, snacks, and more.
