FORT WORTH – George Willis Ross, Jr., 83, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 17. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at University Christian Church on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 10:00 am. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the church parlor following the service. George was born on November 15, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas, and grew up in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School and Texas Tech University, where he was a member of Circle K International. While attending Texas Tech, he met his wife, Sheila. They were married for 55 years. George spent his career as Director of Sales for Kelley Manufacturing, traveling extensively throughout the Midwest. He was also an active member of the AMBUCS business organization. George and Sheila lived in Kansas for 26 years before retiring and moving to Fort Worth, Texas. George was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Ross, Sr.; his brother-in-law, Art Davies; his nephew, Rodney Davies; and his niece, Shannon Ross. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Davies Ross; his brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Toni Ross of Saginaw, Texas; his cousin, Caren Wilkerson of Fort Worth, Texas; his niece, Kristy Davies of Georgetown, Texas; his great-nephew and wife, Zachary and Sarah Davies of Aledo, Texas; his great-great-nephew and namesake, Andrew Ross Davies; his nephew and wife, Will and Ricki Davies of Leander, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University Christian Church, 2720 South University Drive, Fort Worth, Texas, or to any local animal shelter.
