LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Today, members of the Lubbock Fire Rescue Recruits Class 2025-1 volunteered at High Point Village, a faith-based nonprofit organization who’s mission is to create a village where individuals with intellectual disabilities can thrive in worship, learning, living, working and more.
LFR said the day is part of its emphasis on community service and building connections with people. Recruits danced, went bowling and helped in daily activities while learning more about High Point Village.
“Community service is a core part of who we are at Lubbock Fire Rescue. By spending time at High Point Village, our recruits are building relationships and learning what it truly means to serve this city” Fire Chief Richard Stewart said in a release.
