I got it in my mind to track down some great nachos in Lubbock—and it wasn’t easy.
Nachos can be as simple or as complex as you want. If you’ve ever stumbled home after a few drinks, you’ve probably melted Velveeta on chips and called it dinner. On the flip side, some Lubbock restaurants elevate the experience with fajita steak, brisket, or custom toppings. I even miss the Italian nachos from Zio’s — crisp, cheesy, and unforgettable.
When I want answers like this, I usually lean on TripAdvisor or Yelp, but they were no help this time. Apparently, nachos aren’t something people rush to review. So, I turned to the always reliable LBK Foodies, who never fail to deliver solid, local opinions.

And while I’m not going to crown a single “Best Nachos in Lubbock,” here are a few “no-fail” choices to satisfy that craving:
Triple J Chophouse surprised me with wonton nachos — reminiscent of the old Zio’s style — piled with brisket, mozzarella, and white queso.
Jimenez Y Friends got love for their brisket nachos, though I personally recommend the off-menu barbacoa version on weekends.
Shotzy’s keeps things classic with traditional nachos that lean into that “broken taco” feel — messy and perfect.
Chimy’s offers variety, from green chile chicken to fajita nachos, always a crowd favorite.
Caprock Café and Mamarita’s deliver dependable, beer-friendly versions that hit the spot every time.
Sometimes, “the best” isn’t about fancy toppings — it’s about cheese, crunch, and pure satisfaction.

You can find Goodarts peanut patties and peanut brittle and many convenience stores and grocery stores, but you can also stop by their little storefront that is attached to their candy-making facility. 
Chickies also offers many other handmade made chocolate candies like bars, turtles, bear paws, chocolate-covered s’mores, gummy bears, and much more. The selection is truly impressive.
Not feeling chocolate? Chickies also has many baked goods in a variety of types and flavors, including cheesecake, cupcakes, macarons, cookies, and more. 
If you are looking for novelty candy, gummies of all sorts, movie-theater box candy, big candy gifts, rarer/ stranger candy, etc., its hard to beat Five Below.
