DALLAS – One person is dead after an overnight police chase from Grand Prairie to Dallas.
What we know:
The chase started around 11 p.m. after Grand Prairie police tried to pull over the driver of a Chevy Tahoe on Interstate 30.
That driver took off in the HOV lane and ended up losing control on a flyover bridge with a sharp curve at the Westmoreland Road exit in Dallas.
The SUV rolled several times, and the driver was ejected. The driver died at the scene.
Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies are now investigating the crash.
What we don’t know:
The driver’s identity has not yet been released.
It’s also not clear why that person tried to flee.
