FORT WORTH, Texas — A fire broke out early this morning at a ranch-style home near Overton Park, prompting a swift response from the Fort Worth Fire Department. The blaze, which was reported around 2 a.m., engulfed a garage and yard on the 3400 block of Autumn Drive.

Upon arrival, Engine 21 encountered heavy flames and upgraded the incident to a “Residential Working Fire,” according to a press release from the department. Firefighters faced challenges, including a drained 9-foot swimming pool and overgrown brush, as they fought the fire for over 45 minutes. The home, built in 1962 and occupied by a single family for 64 years, was unoccupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
