EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — A local barbershop is offering its support for federal workers affected by the government shutdown.
As the government shutdown enters its third week, Fades Inc., located on George Dieter, is offering free haircuts to all government employees this Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Owner Lillian Fletcher said it’s a simple way to give back and lift spirits during a challenging time.
“Everybody has families, everybody, you know, needs to make money, and it’s very unfortunate that people are going through this right now, so we want to give back anyway we can. This is one way we can do that, we can use our skills to give back to the community,” Fletcher told KFOX14/CBS4 on Monday.
She added, “We are hoping for a good turnout. We want to help as many people as we can.”
Those seeking a haircut are asked to bring a government ID to participate.
