With winter weather bearing down on North Texas, many restaurants in the region have made the decision to close, but some are keeping their lights on and their ovens hot — at least for as long as they have power.
Here is a running list of restaurants, bars, bakeries and coffee shops that plan to stay open during the winter storm this weekend:
Alamo Club, Lower Greenville
Alamo Club on Dallas’ Greenville Avenue said it has “the doors open, the heat cranked and the vibes hotter than your new situationship” with normal hours in place.

Detour Doughnuts, Frisco
Detour Doughnuts plans to stay open Saturday and Sunday, but likely with a later opening time than their usual 8 a.m. Keep an eye on their Instagram page for exact hours.

Las Palmas Tex-Mex, Uptown
Uptown Tex-Mex spot Las Palmas plans to stay open for regular lunch and dinner service through the weekend.

Mamani, Uptown
This Michelin-starred restaurant at The Quad in Dallas’ Uptown neighborhood will be open for regular dinner service Saturday and Sunday.

Mayer’s Garden, Henderson Avenue
Mayer’s Garden will be open and offering $5 chili, $7 Frito pie and $8 hot drinks all weekend long.

Mot Hai Ba, Old East Dallas
This East Dallas restaurant, which received Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition, will remain open Saturday and Sunday for regular dinner service.

Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen, Lower Greenville
This Michelin-recognized spot on Greenville Avenue will be open the whole weekend, but it will close early at 9 p.m. each night instead of its usual 10 p.m. weekend closure time.

Pillar, Bishop Arts
Neighborhood bistro Pillar is staying open for regular service, and it is handing out free hot chocolate all day Saturday and Sunday. Chef and owner Peja Krstic said to ask the bartender to pour in some whiskey if you need it.

St. Martin’s Wine Bistro, Old East Dallas
This longtime bistro will be open for dinner during the storm on Saturday and Sunday.

Village Baking Co., multiple locations
All locations of Village Baking Co. will be open Saturday until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
