A record-setting amount of snow was measured at DFW International Airport on Sunday as icy precipitation continued to fall on North Texas.

About 0.9 inches of snowfall blanketed the airport yesterday, setting a new daily record for January 25.

The previous record of 0.1 inches of snowfall was set Jan. 25, 1949.

Roughly 1.5 inches of snow was measured in the area on Saturday, according to weather service data.

An extreme cold warning was set to last until 9 a.m. Tuesday but no additional snow or wintry precipitation was in the 7-day forecast.
