George Strait announced Monday two additional shows in 2026.

The country music legend will perform April 9 and April 11 in Austin, Texas. The shows will feature an in-the-round format, meaning that he’ll perform to an audience on all sides instead of against a backing set design.

Country artist William Beckmann will serve as the opener for both nights.

A press release promises “an intimate evening of timeless hits,” including selections off Strait’s 2024 studio album “Cowboys and Dreamers.”

Strait retired from touring in 2012, and, in May, announced just how much longer he thought he would perform.

“The King of Country” is known for hits including “Carrying Your Love With Me” and “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.”

Strait is one of the best-selling country artists of all time, with 60 chart-topping songs and 31 platinum – or multiplatinum – albums.
