EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Social media videos appear to show a police chase disrupting traffic near I-10 in East El Paso on Monday evening.
The Texas Department of Transportation first sent out an alert at around 4:05 p.m. stating that law enforcement activity on Gateway East after Hawkins closed the right lane and caused a minor backup.
At the same time, videos were shared on the popular social media account therealfitfamelpaso, where it appears that state troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety take a man into custody in the same area.
The video shows state troopers carrying a handcuffed man across traffic before putting him against the hood of a DPS unit.
