FORT WORTH, Texas (KTVT) – Faris Hussain sprang into action Monday morning to help save a homeless woman he knows as Bobby.

“When I heard her name, it was one of my good customers, so I instantly thought, no, no, no, we’ve got to help her right now,” Hussain said.

Another regular had found Bobby frozen on the street, but Hussain was the only one strong enough to lift her. “She felt like a rock, as stiff as a rock. When I picked her up, her entire body just stayed in the same form no matter how I lifted her,” he recalled.

Once inside, Bobby began warming up and thanking everyone, saying she had been outside all night. Police and paramedics eventually arrived and took her to the hospital.

“I don’t really consider myself a hero,” Hussain said. “We do this daily for our community. Doing it once in a while isn’t enough—we help our customers every time.”
