A man taken to a hospital in critical condition after being found in a Colleyville pond during a winter storm this weekend has died, officials said.
Barry Alldredge, 78, died in the hospital Sunday at 3:54 p.m. on the same afternoon he was found in the pond, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office and Colleyville police.
Authorities said they went to a home in the 5000 block of Fry Lane to assist a woman who had fallen in her backyard.
They helped the woman then found her husband in a nearby pond.

Alldredge ending up in the pond appears to be an accident, according to Sgt. Dara Young, a spokesperson for Colleyville police.
