In a press release, police said Lopez was first reported missing on May 31, 2025, after authorities received a call regarding her disappearance.
On June 30, 2025, police, assisted by the Texas Rangers and South Central K9 Search and Rescue, conducted a search in a heavily wooded area on the north side of Aransas Pass, where Lopez was known to frequent.Â
Using cadaver K-9s, search teams discovered human remains, which were sent for DNA analysis.Â
In Nov. 2025, the results confirmed the remains belonged to Lopez. Aransas police said the update is being released now at the request of Lopez’s family.Â
The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details.Â
Anyone with information about Jennifer Lopez’s death is urged to contact Aransas Pass Police Detective Sgt. Stacey Allen or Tri-County Crimestoppers at 361-758-8477.
