LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Area United Way is preparing for its 80th year of serving the South Plains.
Supporters gathered Thursday afternoon for the organization’s annual meeting to review last year’s accomplishments and discuss future goals.
The meeting also recognized volunteers and partner agencies for their contributions to the community.
The United Way presented the Rita Harmon Volunteer Service Award to John Zwiacher. The award is the organization’s highest volunteer honor, recognizing his leadership and long-term service to the community.
