EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Independent School District is expected to consider offering buyouts to employees who choose to retire or resign.

According to the district’s agenda for next Monday, board members are expected to discuss offering employees anywhere from $1,500 to $3,000 to retire or resign.

The agenda states that those who choose to retire or resign must submit their notification by Feb. 20.

School board members are expected to discuss this proposal further at their meeting scheduled for 8 a.m. on Monday.
