EL PASO, Texas — El Paso residents gathered Saturday morning in Northeast El Paso to celebrate local artist and community figure Krystall Poppin with a parade and community bazaar honoring her impact on music, culture, and hometown pride.

Following the parade, a fundraising bazaar was held at Our Lady of Assumption Church, bringing together families, fans, and local supporters.

The celebration comes after a recent proclamation by El Paso City Council officially designating Jan. 27 as “Krystall Poppin Day,” recognizing her influence on music and her role in representing El Paso on a national stage.

Most recently, Krystall performed her original song “The Moment” during a performance in Puerto Rico as Stephanie Han took the stage.

Organizers described the event as a celebration of community and local talent.

“This is more than a parade—it’s a call to action,” organizers said in a statement. “It’s about showing up for our own, celebrating local talent, and reminding the world that El Paso raises stars.”

Community members were encouraged to attend, wear El Paso pride, and celebrate an artist who continues to uplift her hometown through her work and community involvement.

Those seeking additional information or media access were directed to contact event organizer Zerelda Gallego.
