The Port of Corpus Christi recently announced the tonnage movement through the Port in 2025, with the results coming in slightly lower than during the same time period in 2024.
According to a news release from the organization, the Port of Corpus Christi and its customers moved 203.4 million tons through the Corpus Christi Ship Channel in 2025. That total represented a slight (1.5%) decrease from the prior year, the organization said, which had seen a total of 206.5 million tons.
The Port also moved fewer tons through the channel in the final quarter of 2025, according to the release, with 50.1 million tons of commodities moving through the Port during that period compared to 54 million tons in the 2024 final quarter.
Despite the slight downturn, however, officials with the organization have previously said they believe the ship channel will see a boon from the deepened ship channel, a project which was completed in late 2025.
